Am I Pregnant?

Am I Pregnant?
Are you planning to get pregnant? Have you noticed new symptoms, and want to make sure whether these are pregnancy symptoms? The home pregnancy test is the easiest method to test your pregnancy after two weeks of conceiving. But you can discover it even earlier by noticing some symptoms. Here are the details:

Well-known symptoms that appear in the beginning of pregnancy include:

A Late Menstruation

If you are planning to get pregnant, and two or more weeks passed since the time of your monthly period, then this is most probably a sign of pregnancy. However,  this can be confusing for women who already have an irregular period cycle.

Swollen Breasts

Hormonal changes happen during pregnancy. Breasts become bigger and more sensitive. This symptom disappears with time when the body adapts to its new condition.

Nausea

Morning nausea is one of the most well-known symptoms of pregnancy in its early stages. It appears one month following the beginning of pregnancy, but some women can feel it before that. Other women never feel nauseous at all.

Frequent Urination

The volume of blood increases during pregnancy, causing more liquids to reach the kidneys, and accordingly leads more frequent urination.

Exhaustion

This symptom happens in the beginning of pregnancy because of the sudden increase in the rate of the progesterone hormone in the body. It leads to feelings of constant fatigue and weariness.

Mood Swings
The increase of hormones in the body makes the pregnant women more emotional, and prone to crying all of the time.

Bloating

A pregnant woman feels like her abdomen is bloated, a feeling similar to that she feels in the beginning of the monthly period.

Minor Bleeding

This happens because the ovule sticks with the uterus after fertilization. It usually happens 10 -14 days after fertilization.

Contractions

Some women feel contractions in the uterus. Others do not feel any of that.

Constipation

Hormonal changes make the digestion process slower. Therefore, pregnant women are more susceptible to constipation.

Heightened Sense of Smell (Hyperosmia)

Mostly due to hormonal changes, pregnancy could lead to a heightened sense of smell, and also to taste changes.

Nose Congestion

The swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose leads to a dry nose and bleeding, which may result in a running or clogged nose.

The aforementioned symptoms could be symptoms of illnesses, or of the beginning of the monthly period, and so they cannot be entirely relied upon to determine pregnancy. In all cases, if pregnancy is confirmed, we recommend you consult your doctor as soon as possible to follow up and track your pregnancy.
