Your little one has finally started eating solid foods. He is full of beans, so he doesn’t accept any food you offer. Finding baby food recipes that appeal to babies is not an easy task.
Start introducing mashed and soft foods and the proof is in the pudding. Try out these baby food recipes that will make choosing every day’s meal for your baby as easy as a pie.
To start introducing foods to a baby, one should try single ingredient foods. Introduce one ingredient every four days.
Rice Pudding
1 tbsp rice
1 cup water
Formula or breast milk
Fruits (optional)
Step 1: Bring water to boil, then add rice
Step 2: Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly then add a little milk
Step 3: blend until soft and serve warm.
Oatmeal Cereal
¼ cup of Oatmeal
¾ Cup of Water
Step 1: Ground the oatmeal in a blender and don’t use instant or ready-ground oatmeal.
Step 2: Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring. Add formula or breast milk and serve warm.
Step 3: Blend if needed to get the suitable consistency.
Apples Puree
Step 1: Peel, core and cut into slices
Step 2: Put in a saucepan and add water just above the apple slices.
Step 3: Boil until well-cooked
Step 4: Blend in a processor or a blender until soft.
Serve warm
Banana-apple Puree
1 Apple
1 Banana
Step 1: Prepare apple as mention in the previous recipe
Step 2: Peel and slice the banana then mash for 20 seconds
Step 3: Mix apple and banana in a bowl.
Sweet Potato
1 Sweet potato
Step 1: cook a sweet potato in a water bath in a pressure pan for 30 minutes
Step 2: Peel and puree in a blender or any suitable appliance
Step 3: Add water or formula or breast milk will blending until desired consistency.
Carrots
1 Carrot
Step 1: Cook in a water bath until tender then blend or puree.
Step 2: Don’t use leftover water for babies under 8 months.
Here you go 6 meals for your little one. Try them out then later you can try some mixtures.
