Have you planned a trip for Eid Al-Fitr? Does traveling with your children keep you on your toes. Controlling kids on trips seems like herding cats. Planning ahead can make your trip with your children much fun.
Safety
A First aid kit: Regardless of the destination you’re heading, a First aid kit for your little one should be a part and parcel of his bag. Take a small case with essentials like an anti-bacterial, antipyretic, antihistaminic, band-aids, etc.
Depending on the weather and the transportation, bring suitable clothes. Since Eid Al-Fitr is in the hottest days of the year, don’t forget to bring a wide hat, loose and light outfits that cover all of his or her skin. Try to keep your baby in a cool place, as babies don’t tolerate heat as we adults do.
Foods and drinks
When it comes to traveling, snacks are the best things since sliced bread. Snacks are capable of keeping your little one busy better than toys. Keep a snack box with dividers, containing all kinds of colorful foods and juices that appeal to your baby. Focus on healthy snacks like dried fruits, vegetables, biscuits...etc., and bring an extra water bottle.
Packing outfits
Like mentioned before, select clothes that protect your child from the summer heat.
Children find their ways to destroy their clothes on trips. Bring an extra outfit or two and extra diapers.
Timing and scheduling
Book overnight flights whenever possible. In this case, your child will spend most of the flight duration asleep, and he won’t spend most of his time horsing around.
Entertainment
Pack a few of your baby’s favorite toys. Bring only a handful of noise-free, large and babyproof items to make packing easier and keep your child safe.
Indispensable Item
Extra changing pads + wipes and tissues: No matter how much you plan for the trip, your little one’s bowel movement is often unexpected. Make sure you pack everything to avoid little incidents from ruining your trip.
Plastic bags: whether you're traveling by car or by plane, you should keep a couple of plastic bags handy, to throw any remains or leftovers and steer clear of the mess.
An umbrella stroller, and a sling: Considered A must for every active family, whether you’re planning to go shopping, go on a tour, or go sightseeing.
Those are some basic tips on planning a trip with your baby. Time to get prepared, and have a nice trip!
