Safe Sleep Habits for your Baby
There are some tips & steps that parents should consider to help their baby sleep in a safer way. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is one of the most common risks for babies during their sleep time. Although its causes are not yet fully discovered. However, it is the top cause for infant deaths in the world.

Breastfeeding is now recommended as it’s an important way for reducing the risk of SIDS, it can reduce the risk of this syndrome by 60%.
It’s recommended to not put pillows in baby’s cradle, some believe that pillows help in protecting the baby while sleep but on the contrary they are considered as main factor for baby’s suffocation.
Always put your baby on his back at bedtime.
Make sure that the cradle surface is flat & firm.
The baby should sleep in the same room with his mother but do not sleep on the same bed together.
Pregnant woman should receive regular prenatal care.
Stay away from smoking before & after birth.
You can use a pacifier at sleep time to help your baby sleep faster.
Avoid covering your baby’s head or dress him with heavy clothes.
