How to Pick the Perfect Baby Name

How to Pick the Perfect Baby Name
Whether you want to select a modern, a traditional, or a royal name for your little one, selecting a proper name can avoid too much embarrassment and frustration, and make his life easier. We’ve gathered some tips to pick the perfect name for your baby.

Put Yourself in His Shoes
Remember that you’re choosing a name for your baby not for you. Some choose names that remind them of their loved memories. Like naming the kid after one of his grandparents, or after a celebrity; however, some of these names won't appeal to your baby when he’s a grown-up.
Be careful about choices that turn your child’s name into a joke. Select a name your child will feel proud of whenever called.

Consider Combination with the Last Name
Try out several names, and check how they sound along with the middle and last name; in order to make sure they’re pronounceable, and avoid tongue twisters, complicated names, or names that sound funny.

Keep it Short and Simple
Choosing a simple name helps, especially if the family name is complicated. An easy name will make his life easier starting from joining a school and making little friends.

Put Spelling into Consideration
Every mother wants a unique name for her child. Selecting a name that is easy to spell saves his precious time dictating his name to everyone for the rest of his life. Unique names sound nice but if not practical, it can cause frustration.
Try spelling the name in languages he'll use later in his life. some Arabic letters missing in other languages are replaceable, while others are not.

Nicknames
Consider trying various nicknames to make sure it sounds good. Nicknames are meant to be used by loved ones. Make it memorable.

Popular Names
If you’re not a great fan of popular names, search for every name you select to avoid falling into that trap of choosing names used by everybody.
It’s not easy to choose an uncommon name. Avoiding common names as much as possible saves too much confusion.

Check the Meaning
Some names sound appealing, but when it comes to its meaning it’s a horse of a different color. Like a name that ends up meaning something like “sadness”.

While choosing a name for your child, don’t think of him as your cute little baby, rather, picture your child as a grown-up bearing the name you've picked.
