How to Deal with Fever

Measure his temperature regularly by using the thermometer under his armpit. If the temperature is above 37°C then it’s a fever.

Keep his body cool. Don’t overdress or remove too many clothes to a point that causes chilling

Introduce more fluids. Breastfeed him more regularly to keep the body hydrated and make up for water loss due to sweating.

If the baby is distressed, give him the recommended dose of “paracetamol” after asking your doctor. It’s advised to read the leaflet before giving any medication to the child. Avoid giving any individual under 16 years a medication that contains Aspirin.

Watch your child especially at night during sleep. If you're worried due to increase in the symptoms or you noticed any seizures seek medical advice immediately.

If the temperature exceeds 38°C for babies under 3 months, or 39°C in babies above 3 months consult your doctor.

Remember, measure his temperature regularly, keep him cool, introduce fluids. If it’s getting worse or the temperature exceeds the limits mentioned before call your doctor.
